In a surprising move, Blizzard announced that Diablo Immortal, first thought to be mobile-only, will now also be launching on PC.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF DIABLO 4 PC
Diablo Immortal mobile game TOP Diablo Immortal cross-play on PC Releasing on J, which is probably within a year or two before Diablo 4's release date, it's unlikely that Blizzard would release both it and a Diablo 4 mobile version. It aims to bring the most true Diablo experience as possible to mobile. TOP Diablo Immortal fills mobile voidįirst announced in late 2018, Diablo Immortal was developed by Blizzard and Chinese gaming company, NetEase, specifically for the mobile platform. Blizzard hasn't announced any plans to release a pared-down version of the game for any platform. Unlikely due to hardware limitsĪlso, seeing that the Nintendo Switch isn't in Diablo 4's list of confirmed release platforms (due to hardware limitations), it's safe to assume that Diablo 4 won't run on a mobile phone (Android or iOS) either.

Blizzard may also be trying to distance Diablo 4 from the poor reception Diablo: Immortal has received for its perceived pay-to-win model. With such clear wording, we can assume that no version of Diablo 4 will be appearing on mobile phones. Along with that announcement, Diablo's Community Manager, Adam Fletcher, said that Diablo 4 was built "strictly" for PC and consoles : "Diablo 4 is built strictly for PC/console audiences." In June 2022, Blizzard confirmed that Diablo 4 will release in 2023.
